(Bio)SECcurity² Valve solutions
Switching valves are the key to many solutions ranging from manual injection or column switching to fully automated 2D separations.
PSS valves can be directly installed in column compartments or externally attached using a stand-alone valve or the PSS work flow module. Valves are available as specific valves for a certain task or divided into an valve drives equipped with QuickChange valve heads. All motor driven valves can be contolled using WinGPC software.
External valve
(Bio)SECcurity² valve drive (external) - P/N 404-2171
This unique valve concept allows you to automate a variety of applications such as column selection, column regeneration, solvent selection or sample cleanup and enrichment. A drive unit (either externally attached, installed in the workflow module 404-2178 or in the column compartments 404-2111/404-2137) and interchangeable, separate valve heads gives flexibility to choose combinations that match your laboratory’s individual application requirements.
Examples for QuickChange valve heads and applications:
- 2-position-8-port 2D valve up to 1200 bar (P/N 404-2172)
- 12-position-13-port fraction collection valve for up to 12 fractions up to 200 bar (bioinert) (P/N 404-2173)
- 2-position-6-port valve up to 600 bar (P/N 404-2174, bioinert: P/N 404-2175)
- 4-position-10-port valve for up to 4 columns/banks up to 600 bar (bioinert) (P/N 404-2176)
- 6-position-14-port valve for up to 6 columns/banks up to 600 bar (P/N 404-2177)

SECcurity² valve in column compartments
PSS column compartments can be equipped with manual switching valves or automated switching valves directly installed in the compartment.
Manual valves are for injection (including trigger signal output) or for column switching to be used with the TCC6500.
Auotmated valves are for column switching or 2D separations to be used with the TCC7000 or TCC1260.
Workflow module
(Bio)SECcurity² workflow module - P/N 404-2178
The Workflow Module comes in stackable hardware and comrises an integrated flush pump (up to 50 bar and 4 mL/min), a 3-channel solvent selection valve and one valve drive for a selectable QuickChange valve head. Options include the installation of a 2nd valve drive.
